SYNOPSIS
A single mom meets a young student; A city boy meets a guy of his dream; A girl falls into a love game of a male and a female fellows in her French class. 7 young men and women and their three stories involved with heterosexual, homosexual and bisexual affairs that happened in Beijing.
Director Biography
<p>François Chang, born in 1987, is a promising young generation director in china. graduated from Beijing Normal University, Chang has directed and produced several short films and received awards from festivals in China mainland, Hongkong and Japan. “Hua Wei Mei” (Bad Romance) is his first feature film，selected by Torino GLBT Film Festival Feauture Competition,Boston LGBT Film Festival, and the closing night film of Asian Queer Film Festival.</p>
Director's Statement
<p>The film takes place against a background of Versace shop windows and Lady Gaga ringtones, in a China that is increasingly fascinated with the West. All kinds of love can be bad romances, have unhappy endings, are hopeless. A melodrama about the teenagers of the new middle-class with sex scenes that are very explicit for Chinese cinema, usually heavily censored.</p>
