Lai Yuqing, she/they, originally from Fujian, was born in Tianjin, China. She has studied in New York, Los Angeles, and Toronto. Her directorial feature debut, Whisperings of the Moon, had its world premiere at the Busan International Film Festival. Her work has also been selected for TIFF, BFI Flare, Tokyo Talents Shortlist, and the Sundance Ignite finalist, among others.
